Remote Patient Intake Coordinator
Summit Virtual Care — Patient Access
Description
Summit Virtual Care is a telehealth group serving primary-care and urgent-care patients across 22 states. We are hiring a part-time Remote Patient Intake Coordinator to handle the front end of every visit — before a doctor ever joins the call. A typical shift: new referrals land in a queue, you confirm demographics, check insurance eligibility in our portal, schedule the first available slot, and send confirmation texts or emails. Most work is forms, dropdowns, and short outbound calls when a date of birth or member ID does not match. You are not documenting visits and you are not giving medical advice. You follow a step-by-step checklist, flag anything unclear to a supervisor, and move to the next intake. Training covers HIPAA, our scheduling system, and common insurance plans. Fully remote, 18–22 hours per week. Morning or afternoon block — you pick and keep it consistent.
