Description
HCA Healthcare is one of the nation's largest healthcare providers, operating 180+ hospitals and 2,300+ sites of care. Our Clinical Documentation team supports physicians across multiple service lines by delivering accurate, timely chart notes during live patient encounters. As a Remote Medical Scribe, you will join virtual visits or listen to recorded encounters and enter structured notes into the EHR (Epic) under physician direction. Shifts are typically 4–6 hours, mornings or afternoons, 15–24 hours per week. Training covers HCA documentation standards, HIPAA workflows, and specialty-specific templates. This is a fully remote role for US-based candidates. Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace are required.
Requirements
- High school diploma; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong typing speed (50+ WPM) with excellent spelling and grammar
- Familiarity with medical terminology or prior scribe/clinical admin experience
- Ability to work independently during scheduled shifts with minimal supervision
- HIPAA awareness and comfort handling protected health information
- Reliable internet, headset, and a distraction-free home workspace
