Description
Midwest Forge & Tool employs 1,400 people across three Michigan plants making precision metal components for automotive and defense customers. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to support two plant GMs and their leadership teams. You will run hourly hiring pipelines, coach managers on performance issues, lead union-adjacent conversations with labor relations support, and help redesign shift schedules during peak seasons. This is a sleeves-rolled-up HR role — not policy-only. Hybrid: 3 days/week at the Warren headquarters, regular plant walkthroughs.
Requirements
- 5+ years in HR with generalist or HRBP experience
- Manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment experience strongly preferred
- Solid employee relations and investigation skills
- Comfortable presenting to shift supervisors and union stewards
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification a plus
